The currently most popular search terms on Google in Sweden was released the other day.
This is the top ten:
It seems obvious that at least 70 percent of the searches are searches “unnecessary”, as they could be entered directly in the url field of the browser instead of “googled”.
Since these searches are generating expected “results”, google works in many ways as an address book instead as a search engine.
Being the currently biggest search engine with an estimated daily number of searches exceeding 235 millions, this is an astonishing insight. Are their position as a market leader a result of superior functionality and quality of search results generated, or rather a result of intelligent marketing and the habits of the general internet user?

Cimex - Bed bug
This summer me and my fiance went to Corsica, on a fantastic roadtrip on two wheels.
The weather, locations, food and the people we met were all fantastic, with one major exception: Hotel “U Listincu”.
We chose this hotel not because of the discrete description in our Lonely Planet guide book but simply because it was the only one with a room free during the high season.
After the first night I woke up having some bites, which I supposed were from mosquitos. The second morning the same thing, and the bites started to become very big and very itching. Read the rest of this entry »

Yesterday after the aperitivo I went with my friend Pietro to Villa Ada to see the Blonde Redheads, just like last year.
The concert was truly amazing, and Maki Takahashi fantastic.

This weekend we’ll head of to a lake outside, north, of Perugia. A trip about 200 kms from Rome. Here the annual “Hot Mod Summer on the Lake” will take place – a three day 60’s inspired party.
The party starts friday night, with a warm up event. Saturday it continues with some relaxing on the beach, followed by a Vespa rideout, dinner, music, some bands and at midnight initiates the all-nighter.
